Privacy and legal information
Privacy Notice
This notice explains how HSA Driving handles personal information submitted through this website, including lesson enquiries, booking requests and the HSA Driving Assistant.
Who we are
HSA Driving is the trading name of HSA DRIVING SCHOOL LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales.
Company number: 11666568. Registered office: 32 Wheatley Close, London, England, NW4 4LG.
You can contact us by email at support@hsadrivingschool.com. Our company details can be verified through Companies House.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred area, lesson requirements, booking details and any information you choose to include in an enquiry. Please do not send special category or other sensitive personal information through a general enquiry form or the HSA Driving Assistant unless we specifically ask for it.
HSA Driving Assistant
The website includes an HSA Driving Assistant that can answer general questions about driving lessons, courses, areas covered and booking information. Messages submitted through the assistant are sent to OpenAI, an external AI service provider, so that a response can be generated. Please do not enter passwords, payment details, medical information, identity documents or other sensitive personal data into the assistant. Use the booking or contact form instead for a specific enquiry. HSA does not intentionally store chat conversations as a separate customer record, although limited technical processing or security logs may be retained where necessary to operate and protect the service.
Why we use your information
We use information to respond to enquiries, provide and administer driving lesson services, process booking requests, communicate about requested services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations and protect the security of our website and systems. Optional marketing communications will only be sent where an appropriate lawful basis and any required consent are in place.
Lawful basis
Depending on the purpose, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, pursue legitimate interests or rely on your consent. We will not use one lawful basis as a substitute for another where the circumstances require a different basis.
Who receives your information
Information may be accessed by authorised HSA Driving personnel and service providers supporting website hosting, email, forms, payment, booking or AI assistant operations, where necessary. Providers are expected to handle information appropriately. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses essential functionality and preference storage where needed. Optional Google Analytics cookies are not loaded unless you actively choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. If you reject analytics, or have not made a choice, optional analytics remains disabled. Analytics consent is stored in your browser under the key hsa-analytics-consent. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time using the “Change cookie preferences” control in the footer. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation enabled. We do not use optional advertising cookies through this consent mechanism.
International transfers
Where a service provider processes personal information outside the UK, we will take the steps required by applicable data protection law, including using an appropriate transfer mechanism or safeguard where necessary.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice and to meet applicable legal, accounting, insurance or record-keeping requirements. Retention periods are reviewed periodically and information is securely deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To make a request, email support@hsadrivingschool.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Data requests and complaints
We aim to respond to valid data protection requests within the period required by applicable law. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first so that we can investigate. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office through the ICO complaints service.
Security and external websites
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; those websites operate under their own privacy notices and terms.
Booking and service information
Booking-specific information, including lesson availability, pricing, payment arrangements and any cancellation or test-day terms, will be provided through the relevant booking or service communication before you commit to a service. Please retain the terms supplied with your booking.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, systems or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page.
